Sevim Seda Yamaç

Sevim Seda Yamaç received her B.Sc. degree in Agricultural Engineering, specializing in Agricultural Structure and Irrigation, from the University of Mustafa Kemal in Türkiye. She was then awarded a scholarship to attend the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Bari (CIHEAM/IAMB) in Italy, where she completed her Master's degree in Land and Water Resources: Irrigated Agriculture. She furthered her studies with a doctoral scholarship from the Italian Government and embarked on her career as a Research Assistant at Milan University, where she earned her Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Ecology. Following the completion of her Ph.D., she was granted a Postdoctoral Research scholarship and conducted her research at Bonn University in Germany. After completing her postdoc, Dr. Yamaç decided to return to her home country and later began her career at Konya Food and Agriculture University as a faculty memberin Türkiye.Throughout her career, she has collaborated with numerous multidisciplinary and international research groups. She has actively participated in various national and international projects, including those with NASA, the Robert Bosch Foundation, the Saudi Irrigation Organization, and The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. She is also a member of digital agriculture commissions and working groups in important institutions such as the Turkey Republic Presidency, Ministry of Agriculture, and The Scientific and Technological Research Council in her country. Currently, Sevim Seda Yamaç serves as an Associate Professor and Head of Biosystems Engineering at Necmettin Erbakan University in Türkiye. In 2023, she has been a speaker at TEDx with the title "Crops of the Future: Food Security and Sustainable Agriculture". Notably, she is also a certified Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Pilot (UAV0-UAV1).
